NGC 2936 is likely a normal spiral galaxy -- spinning, creating stars .....

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope captures the iridescent tapestry of star birth in a neighbouring galaxy in this panoramic view of glowing gas, dark dust clouds, and young, hot stars.

This is the galaxy known as NGC 5548. At its heart, though not visible here, is a supermassive black hole behaving in a strange and unexpected manner.

Follow-up observations of an unusual object initially suspected to be the first directly detected planet outside our solar system have shown that the object is too hot to be a planet

Messier 2 is located in the constellation of Aquarius (The Water-Bearer), about 55 000 light-years away.

A wide field image of the region of sky in which HD 189733b is located. In this image we can see the asterism of the 'Summer Triangle' a giant triangle in the sky composed of the three bright stars Vega (top left), Altair (lower middle) and Deneb (far left).
